Request forms must be submitted 30 days prior to your event.

A $150 deposit is required for A/V equipment. Full deposit will be returned, approximately two weeks after the event, contingent on no A/V damages. Our staff will assist with A/V equipment operations, at no charge. We cannot guarantee that our equipment will meet your needs and recommend that you preview everything before the day of your event.

Science Central does have some basic rental supplies (tables and chairs) that are available for free, based upon availability. We can provide contact information for your more specialized furniture, decorations, or equipment requirements.

Security (one guard per 100 guests) is required for events where alcohol will be served or where deemed necessary. These must be professional Law Enforcement Officers. Science Central will schedule security if required. The fee will be $35 per hour, per officer.

Set-up times for your event will vary, based upon the event itself and other activities within the building that day. On days that we are open to the public set up may not begin prior to 4 p.m.

Science Central and the media frequently take photos/videos of visitors which may be used for future Science Central promotions or publicity. These photos may be used without your consent and without compensation. If you do not want your image used, please avoid photographers and inform them of your desire. As a visitor, you are welcome to take photos for non-commercial use at Science Central.
