Science Central recognizes that our Mission to be a regional resource that provides inspiring and fun hands-on science education for all people of all ages is as important as your health and safety.

As we begin making plans, with the goal of being able to reopen soon, Science Central is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and our visitors, even as we navigate through this challenging time.

Upon reopening we would hope that your families and friends see us as a safe and engaging venue of informal science education. Let’s all use the best defense we have, knowledge. Let’s remember that the COVID-19 virus is still with us and just as concerning as before the state put into place a measured return to a ‘new’ normal. Join with us in fighting this international crisis.

We encourage our community to be aware of your behavior, be safe in your interactions and know what your choices are before engaging. Practice social distancing by putting space between yourself and others. Continue to practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

UPDATE 5/18/2020:  Onsite Summer STEM Camps from June 8th through June 28th have been canceled, but we are offering new activities. These will include science kits you can do at home as well as live interaction with Science Central educators. If you are registered for any of these programs you will be contacted soon!

Note: Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis and some dates may not be available at Science Central's discretion.  If you are booking an Afterschool Enrichment or Lab and have a change in group size greater than five students or for changes in programming requests, please contact Science Central as soon as possible, as staffing requirements and preparation depend on group size.

By Phone - During normal business hours. 

Call the Outreach Program Manager at 260.424.2400 ext. 417.

 Note:  Online registrants will receive preferential placement over phone registrants.


After submitting the form, you will receive either a call from our Outreach Manager to confirm the event or an email confirmation within two weeks.  If you do not receive a confirmation letter within two weeks or note any discrepancies, call the Outreach Manager at 260.424.2400 ext. 417 to confirm your registration.


If you need to cancel a registration, you must call or email two weeks prior to the date of your program. Cancellation 2 weeks or less from the date of the program will incur a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be 50% of total program cost. Weather-related cancellations are an exception and will be rescheduled at no additional charge.
